Resilient Forgiveness

I once heard a preacher say that holding hate and anger towards someone is equivalent to drinking poison and hoping harm comes to the other person. Even when we are meditating and praying everyday, it can be easy to hold grudges, hate another, and refuse to forgive someone who has harmed you. God longs for us to forgive others as he has forgiven us despite all of our faults. If you are holding onto any hate, anger, and lack of forgiveness, pray and keep praying for these to be lifted from your heart. Don't let the perceived grievances of others hold you back from a closer relationship with Christ. Live in the freedom and love that God desires for you.

Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. - Ephesians 4: 31-32
