Source of strength
Grief. Grief is such a tough thing and is very different for everyone who encounters it. Grief brings so many emotions and thoughts. I can tell you first hand that when it rains it pours. In the span of six months we recently lost three family members and were and still are absolutely heartbroken. We had to lean on each other for support but most importantly keeping our eyes fixed on God for strength. For a lot of people they blame God for things happening around or to them but in fact we should do the opposite, we should turn to God, ask him to help us through it and trust his plan. 1 Chronicles 16:11 tells us “Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always.” In him we can find the strength to climb every mountain life throws at us.
Psalm 147:3 says “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” God will never leave you alone. Sometimes you have to be patient with him but he will always be there for you when no one else is. Just like Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” In the midst of the storm keep your heart focused on the one who will give you strength.
